Workshop on Secure Multiparty Computation

In June 2012, CFEM is organizing a workshop on the theory and practice of MPC, bringing together experts in all aspects of the subject.

Secure multiparty computation (MPC) is a very active and important research area in cryptography. In MPC, a set of computers connected on a network compute on private input data in such a way that the desired results is the only new information released. In other words, the private inputs remain private. This should hold, even if some of the participants actively try to break the security. MPC started in the late 80-ties as a basic research topic, and  has seen a dramatic development, both in theory and towards practical solutions.

MPC technology can be used to implement, for instance, voting, auctions, procurement and benchmarking with better security, in particular without anyone having to reveal his private data to anyone else.

22 invited speakers have confirmed participation.

The workshop site will be updated on an ongoing basis here.
